Wandrd Filter Case & Memory Card Case Review

When Wandrd announced the release of their new Filter Case and Memory Card Case, I knew I just had to give them a try. Prior to receiving these cases, I wasn't very happy with how I was handling the organisation of my cards and filters (especially the filters).

With my filters, honestly, there was no organisation. I used the individual cases that some of the filters came with as my main way to store them, and for the filter that didn't come with a case (my Hoya CPL filter), I just left it loose in its own makeshift pocket inside of my bag. And then adding on the step-up ring I have, I also just let that loose. Needless to say, it was a mess, and wasn't really conducive to a nice user experience when wanting to bring filters along to shoots.

The Wandrd Filter Case comes in a range of colours that they also offer for their PRVKE & Rogue bags which is so nice to have that option, as I chose to match it to my Wandrd 3L Rogue Sling (review here) and my Wandrd PRVKE Lite (review here). It has a nice EVA foam core exterior, soft-touch lining on the interior to keep your filters safe. It also has a small external attachment loop for if you want to clip it on to the exterior of your bag. The case comfortably holds 4 filters of your choice (in my case, I have 3 filters and a step-up ring).

I love the fact that I can throw this small case into whichever bag I'm using on the day and I know that I have all my essential filters with me, and I have the peace of mind knowing that they are protected at all times.

Now for the Wandrd Memory Card Case - I was previously using a very small, cheap case I got from Amazon which had a foam-like interior. It was all well and good until I saw a few articles online about how there is a small chance (which has happened to a few people) that the static electricity from inserting, and removing the SD cards from foam, can actually corrupt SD cards...that thought scares me. Now, I know the chances are SLIM, but still, if I can reduce those chances further, then why wouldn't I?

This memory case from Wandrd features a similar build and feel to the filter case which is really nice to have that kind of consistency. Inside you will find 8 memory card pockets, 2 SSD pockets, and a nice little elastic loop down the middle where you can store your cable for your SSD. All the items are held down by stretchy elastic which feels quite secure.

Overall, very happy with these two products. They both feel inline with the high quality products that Wandrd produces - I'm yet to be disappointed by anything I have received from them.
