Hey there, it’s nice to meet you
Honestly, I never thought I would get into photography, let alone end up in Canberra.
In fact, it was a pretty odd path for me to get into this field. See, I’m also a professional magician…yep, you read that right. So with this whole magic side of things, I started taking magic-related photos and videos (on my phone) for Instagram which quickly blew up to the point where I had tens of thousands of followers in a matter of a few years. As my following grew, I felt the need to create better photos, which involved buying progressively better cameras as well as teaching myself how to use image editing programs.
Eventually, it was time for me to upgrade to my first ‘big boy’ camera!
Within the first month with this camera, a friend of mine, who happens to be a model, asked one Friday morning if I wanted to be a portrait photographer for the day and have a photoshoot at the beach and then grab some lunch. All I heard was lunch, so I agreed. I was so surprised with how much I enjoyed taking photos of an actual person compared to the random snaps I'd take on my iPhone – the photos came out really well considering it was my first go at a portrait photo shoot. I posted them on a separate Instagram account which lead to new models and clients asking for me to take photos for them which really helped me to get my practice in and build not only a portfolio, but a network of models, hair & makeup artists, and brand partners.
Over the years I have really focussed on my post-production to ensure I consistently deliver high quality images to all of my clients by the required due date.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to shoot at places such as Miami Swim Week, Zuma Beach in Malibu, all the way up the Eastern side of Australia, as well as with some incredible models at some beautiful locations.
I specialise in Portrait Photography, Fashion Photography, Real Estate Photography, Automotive Photography, and a range of other styles. In addition to this, I am also a professional content creator who has worked for brands such as Coca Cola, Pullman Hotels, Hilton Hotels.
Besides photography and magic I have a background in psychology, digital marketing/strategy, social media, and sales.
I am originally from Melbourne, but now based in Canberra (but always open to travelling to the right place for great projects).
